About Alwin de Quartel: The Dad Behind The Dad Hub
I was born in 1983 in Dordrecht, with sports running through my veins. Growing up, I played competitive tennis and represented the Netherlands as a national team skier on the international stage, where I learned early on the power of discipline, grit, and pushing my limits. After hanging up my skis, I traded the slopes for sales, working in the Netherlands and Austria, but my passion for understanding what keeps us thriving never faded. I even trained as an Energetiker with Globalife.at, diving into holistic wellness and mastering tools like cold exposure—ice baths—that I swear by for my body and mind. Now, as a dad, I’m channeling all that experience into The Dad Hub. I’m here to cut through the clutter, sharing simple, actionable insights on health, fitness, nutrition, and self-care that any dad can use to feel stronger, sharper, and more resilient—no fancy gimmicks required.
